Felting for the benefit of animals & art… Organizations that I support (and I hope you will too!)

  • Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary

My girls and I have been tightly involved with this non-profit for many years. It’s based at a gorgeous historic farm and was home base for my nature summer camps. I’ve sold dryer balls with sheep Melvin’s wool, as well as donkey bookmarks, in order to raise funds for animal care.

  • Save Your Ass Longear Rescue

This non-profit rescues & rehomes donkeys, mules, & hinnies and it’s the organization that saved our “Maisey” mule & mini mare “Ginger” back in 2016. My girls & I have visited many times and I’ve donated probably 100 donkey bookmarks for their online auctions & store.

  • Tomten Farm & Sanctuary

This amazing organization is very active in rescuing many breeds of animals, including equines who end up at auction and potentially the kill pen. I’ve felted tomtens for them to give to donors and plan to do more fundraising for them in 2025 in some way.

  • Arnold's Rescue Center

This organization provides a refuge for displaced or homeless animals and is dedicated to the preservation of the critically endangered breed of donkey called the Poitou. I brought my 3rd & 4th graders here for a field trip in the fall of ‘24 and it was quite magical! I plan to raise awareness of this non-profit’s work and raise funds through a felted donkey bookmark workshop.

  • Online auction w/ my bookmarks

Check out this upcoming auction! Make a bid!

  • The Satellite Gallery

Every time I teach in this beautiful art gallery, a portion of the cost of the workshop goes directly to it. On inauguration day, we gathered here to felt bookmarks for our two local libraries, the Cobleigh & St. Johnsbury Athenaeum. This gallery features works by local artists and is a gathering place for fun, arts-related community events.

Donkey bookmark fundraiser for Wally the donkey @ Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary

We gathered and stabbed and created over 30 bookmarks which were donated to the Cobleigh Public Library & the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum.

Save Your Ass Longear Rescue received dozens of donkey bookmarks over the course of many years to sell in their online shop.
