Laughing Crow Farm

Welcome!
I am a shepherdess & wool fiber artist in Burke, Vermont.
My mission is to spark creativity, cultivate community, and promote the ancient art of felting to anyone curious about or already addicted to wool.
Guided by the core values of joy, creativity, and impact, I offer felting workshops and create handmade wool items for home and educational settings using fiber from my sheep.
I provide opportunities for others to slow down, use their imagination, gather together, connect to nature, experiment with natural materials, and experience the satisfaction of transforming wool into something whimsical, beautiful, or useful.
From this little corner of VT called “The Northeast Kingdom”, I hope to make the world a better place by spreading joy through felting and raising money for worthy causes, including animal rescue and community arts organizations.

-
Iris
Beautiful, shy and docile Icelandic ewe who lived to age 12 and was deeply bonded to her daughter, Ivy.

Vladimir
A gorgeous Icelandic wether who arrived with his buddy Valjean from a friend’s Icelandic farm. After a few years, I sold them both to a fiber farm and he was tragically struck by lightning.

Sunny
The best homeschooling buddy ever. We once attempted to hatch eggs and he was the only one that actually hatched!
-
Lady Jane
Of all the chickens we’ve kept, she is the most memorable. So sweet and loved by my girls.
